A Lunar eclipse is the opposite of a Solar eclipse. A lunar eclipse happens when the moon passes behind the Earth blocking the Sun's rays from the Moon. A lunar eclipse can only happen the night of a full moon. The most recent lunar eclipse happened on June 15th 2011 it lasted 100 minutes
